  • GOT MY NEW BABY

Hey guys, I did go get my new baby Last Friday.  Went close to Ft Worth to get her.  My sister-in-law went with me and we had a great time and was good to get away.  We went Friday and then went and got her Sat AM and off we came back.  Of course, we did stop and shop a tat  We took Baili in the stores and of course, everyone thought she was so so cute, we couldn't leave her in the car.  She is a sweetie and a cuddler but she runs from me when I try to pick her up, makes me so mad and frustrated!!!!! The lady thast had her had a 2 1/2 yr old and said she wagged her around and you know how 2 yrs olds pick up puppies and hold  them and aggravate them so am hoping this goes away.  She is almost 4 mo so the potty training is going good.  She hasn't wet in the floor that I know of but the other..........well.  I changed her food and of course she has some diarrhea but gave her a tat of pepto-bismol earlier.  So all is well and my other 2 dogs don't like her but hope they will get over it and play with her.

    Sweet Fragrance

    Today's Scripture

“For we are the sweet fragrance of Christ which exhales unto God…” (Psalm 42:1).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

Did you know that your life is a sweet fragrance to God? Think about how a wonderful aroma affects you personally. When it’s springtime and the flowers are blossoming, everything feels new again. The sweet aroma in the air is a sign that the flowers are fresh and alive. It catches your attention! It makes you want to take a deep breath and partake of the wonderful sweet fragrance. God feels the same way about you! He loves wonderful aromas and when you are living your life to please Him, it’s a beautiful fragrance that captures His attention! Just like the aroma in springtime is a sign that the flowers are alive, the aroma of your life is a sign that Christ is alive in you. It is pleasing to the Father! The next time you experience a fresh fragrance, remember that your life is a fragrance unto God. You can rest in knowing that He is pleased with a heart that seeks after Him. As you continue to seek Him, you’ll be that sweet fragrance and you’ll experience His wonderful hand of blessing in every area of your life.

    A Prayer for Today

Father in Heaven, I come to You today surrendering all that I am. May everything I do please You and be a wonderful fragrance to You. Keep me close to You today and always. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

    FUNNY:

    FRIEND GAVE BIRTH AT 65.

With all the new technology regarding fertility recently, a 65-year-old friend of mine was able to give birth.  When she was discharged from the hospital and went home, I went to visit.

"May I see the new baby?" I asked

"Not yet," She said "I'll make coffee and we can visit for a while first."

Thirty minutes had passed, and I asked, "May I see the new baby now?"

    "No, not yet," She said.

After another few minutes had elapsed,

I asked again, "May I see the baby now?"

"No, not yet," replied my friend.

Growi ng very impatient, I asked, "Well, when can I see the baby?"

"WHEN HE CRIES!" she told me.

"WHEN HE CRIES?"  I demanded.  "Why do I have to wait until he CRIES?"

"BECAUSE I FORGOT WHERE I PUT HIM, O.K.?!!"

Here is the picture of Baili:

  • I AM STILL ALIVE..........BLESSED WHEREVER YOU GO....CHURCHES IN LOUISIANA

Hey, I ain't ded!!!!!!! LOL  I am thinking some of you were wondering but I didn't see any inquiries.  I just haven't been on Xanga much lately.  I still come and read some but it takes a long time to do that and comment so kinda taking a little break.  Not much news, went and saw my Dad today and he was sitting up seemed to be doing better than the last time I went.  Chloe is doing fine now.  Am feeding her different food, it is ID so better on her stomach and such.  I have been busy with school which is a good thing.  School is getting so close to being out!!! Can't beleive it but it is going by very quickly.  everytime I turn around, it is Fri
I am crazy, I think.  I have found another dog I think I am going to get next weekend.  She is a chocolate Schnauzer and weigh 6-8 lbs and so cute and beautiful.  I am thinking about breeding her when she is old enought, maybe, haven't decided about that yet.  I love little dogs and she will be smaller than Chloe.  I keep thinking, what in the world will I do with 3 dogs....love em is all I know.  Chocolate schnauzers are kinda rare and the price on her is good, she is 3.5 mo old and cannot understand whey she hasn't sold...I think she is waiting for me.  Tell me I am a crazy blonde.  Will let u know if I back out.

    Blessed Wherever You Go

    Today's Scripture

“If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all His commands I give you today…you will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.” (Deuteronomy 28:1-3).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

God wants to pour out His blessings on you today. Living in obedience and integrity is the key that unlocks the door to His abundance. When you put God and His Word first place in your life, the bible says you’ll be blessed in the city and in the country—that means you will be blessed wherever you go! This chapter goes on to say that you will be so blessed that you will even lend and not borrow. Can you see yourself in that position? Can you see yourself living in that kind of abundance? It’s not God’s plan for you to live with a “barely-get-by” attitude—our God is more than enough! Get a vision for that in your heart today. Make room in your thoughts for the blessing of God. See yourself as a vessel of God’s blessing in the lives of others. As you live a life of obedience you will prosper in all of your ways. You’ll rise higher and live the abundant life God has for you!

    A Prayer for Today

Father in Heaven, thank You for Your hand of blessing on my life. I choose today to put You first in everything I do. Help me to walk in integrity and honor You always. In Jesus’ Name.
FUNNY OF THE WEEKCHURCHES IN LOUISIANA

One of the local television stations in South Louisiana actually aired
an interview with a woman from
    New Orleans .

The interviewer was a woman from a Boston affiliate.

She asked the New Orleans woman how such
total and complete devastation of the churches in the area had
    affected their lives.

Without hesitation, the woman replied,' I don't know about all those
other people, but we haven't gone to Churches in years. We gits our
    chicken from Popeye's'.

The look on the interviewer's face was priceless.

Guess that is about it for the West TX report this week.  Everyone have a great and blessed week and walk in God's Favor.  Pray for me, my 6 mo appt is coming up the end of April with my cancer Dr, thanks so much appreciated

  • THE APPLE OF HIS EYE........

I know I didn't post on Sunday and am just now getting around to it.  I sure hated to go back to work Monday after Spring break but school will be out in 2 months, can't beleive it.  So not much longer as fast as time goes on by.  My poor little schnauzer, Chloe is in the hospital.  She has Pancreatitis which is pretty common in Schnauzers.  The Vet said she might can come home tomorrow, will give her and IV to hydrate her and antiobiotics.  Macy is beside herself since I came home without her this afternoon.
We went to my brothers for Easter and had a good time.  We had fried chicken and the trimmings and I made a chocolate pie and it was so bad it was ALL gone, it was good if I have to say so myself!!!  School has been good this week. Yest I had 4th graders and today I am back at the high school the rest of the week.  As my Mom used to say, " so you see life goes on LOL.

    The Apple of His Eye

    Today's Scripture

“Keep me as the apple of your eye…” (Psalm 17:8).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

God cherishes and values you so much today. You are the apple of His eye; the center of His world! In this day and age, people are considered to be important for so many different reasons—titles, position, possessions, where you go, what you drive. But God’s value system is very different from the value system of the world. If you’ve ever thought that God has too many other important things on His plate to be concerned with you and your life, know this today—you are God’s number one priority. And there’s nothing you can do to be more important or less important. God values you today simply because He made you, and your value will never change. You are significant. Your life is significant. The things that concern you, concern God. He carefully watches over every detail of your life, and there is nothing too big or too small for His attention. Take your concerns and cares to the Father today. He loves to hear you call upon Him, and He is waiting to show Himself strong on your behalf. Because you are important to Him, He is ready to bless and empower you to live in victory all the days of your life.

    A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, thank You for loving me today. Thank You for making me the apple of Your eye. I open my heart to You today and cast every care on You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

    FUNNY OF THE WEEK:

    FORREST GUMP GOES TO HEAVEN

    The day finally arrived.

Forrest Gump dies and goes to Heaven.

He is at the Pearly Gates, met by St. Peter himself. However, the gates are closed, and

    Forrest approaches the gatekeeper.

    St. Peter said,

"Well, Forrest, it is certainly good to see you.

We have heard a lot about you.

I must tell you, though, that the place is filling up fast, and we have been administering an entrance examination

    for everyone.

The test is short, but you have to pass it

before you can get into Heaven."

    Forrest responds,

"It sure is good to be here, St. Peter, sir.

But, nobody ever told me about any entrance exam.

I sure hope that the test ain't too hard.

Life was a big enough test as it was."

    St. Peter continued,

"Yes, I know, Forrest, but the test is only three questions.

    First:

What two days of the week begin with the letter T?

    Second:

How many seconds are there in a year?

    Third:

    What is God's first name?"

Forrest leaves to think the questions over.

He returns the next day and

    sees St. Peter,

who waves him up, and says,

"Now that you have had a chance to think

the questions over, tell me your answers"

    Forrest replied,

    "Well, the first one --

which two days in the week begins with the letter "T"?

    Shucks, that one is easy.

That would be Today and Tomorrow."

The Saint's eyes opened wide and

    he exclaimed,

"Forrest, that is not what I was thinking, but

you do have a point, and

I guess I did not specify, so

I will give you credit for that answer."

"How about the next one?" asked St. Peter

"How many seconds in a year?

Now that one is harder," replied Forrest, but

I thunk and thunk about that, and

I guess the only answer can be twelve."

    Astounded, St. Peter said,

    "Twelve? Twelve?

Forrest, how in Heaven's name could you come up with twelve seconds in a year?"

    Forrest replied,

"Shucks, there's got to be twelve:

    January 2nd, February 2nd, March 2nd ... "

    "Hold it," interrupts St. Peter.

"I see where you are going with this, and

    I see your point,

though that was not quite what I had in mind ... but

I will have to give you credit for that one, too.

Let us go on with the third and final question.

Can you tell me God's first name"?

    "Sure," Forrest replied,

    "it's Andy."

    "Andy?"

exclaimed an exasperated and frustrated St Peter.

"Ok, I can understand how you

came up with your answers to my first two questions, but just how in the world did you come up with the name

Andy as the first name of God?"

"Shucks, that was the easiest one of all,"

    Forrest replied.

"I learnt it from the song,

    'ANDY WALKS WITH ME,

    ANDY TALKS WITH ME,

ANDY TELLS ME I AM HIS OWN.' "

St. Peter opened the Pearly Gates, and said:

    "Run Forrest, RUN!!!!!

lWell, guess this is about it for this week.  Everyone have a great and blessed week and walk in God's favor and live lie your're dyin.

  • HAPPY EASTER......THE APPLE OF HIS EYE....TEA PARTY

Well, I did a post last night and couldn't get it to go or a picture on so maybe it is ok today, really aggravates me when that happens as it does us all here on xanga.  Well, I am on Spring break this week and so so glad not to have to get up and go to work.  Today I gave little Macy a bath and put her Easter dress on and will put on later in the post.  She is so good to have her picture made and of course, Chloe went and hid.  Well, Wed, it is off to Victoria's Secret for another pair of FREE panties.  I do have a couple of recalls on my car so will take it to be worked on, so at least won't be just driving there to get the free panties LOL.  I will also go to TJ Max, one of my favorite stores.  Otherwise, will just play it by hear, won't do too much, more computer time.  I am also going to clean all the decorations on top of my cabinets, they are dirty.
March 7th we went to see George Strait. OMG, it was wonderful.  He sang for almost 2 hrs and was better than 4 yrs ago when we saw him.  He said it would be a concert we would never forget and boy he did just that.  A freind had front row seats and she took pictures for me but all the ones of him looking her way came out blurry.  But she said he would turn quick.  But will also put one on if I can get it to go. We are going to my brother's for Easter and he will fry chicken YUMMO!!! I am making a lemon chess pie and a chocolate meringue pie to take.

    FUNNY OF THE WEEK:

    Play Tea

One day my mother was out and my dad was in charge of me and my brother
who is four years older than I am.
I was maybe 1 1/2 and had just recovered from an accident in which my
arm had been broken among other injuries.
Someone had given me a little 'tea set' as a get-well gift and it was
    one of my favorite toys.
Daddy was in the living room engrossed in the evening news and my
brother was playing nearby in the living room  when I brought Daddy
a little cup of 'tea', which was just water. After several cups of tea
and lots of praise for such yummy tea, my Mom came home.
My Dad made her wait in the living room to watch me bring him a cup of
tea, because it was 'just the cutest thing!!' My Mom waited, and sure
enough, here I come down the hall with a cup of tea for Daddy and she
watches him drink it    up, then says, "Did it ever occur to you
that the only place that baby can reach to get water is the toilet??'"
    And sure enough........!!!

  • CONFIDIENCE IN HIM.........LOVE STORY OF RALPH AND EDNA

Well, thought I better do a quick post.  Didn't do much yesterday, laundry and that is about it.  I like to be lazy on my day off.  Went to church this AM and then I went about 45 miles from here.  Victoria's Secret is there and I had a coupon for a FREE pair of panties and today was the last day.  Use 20.00 for gas for a free pair of underwear, works for me.  I also went to TJ max and ate at Pei Wei, I really like that place, got lettuce wraps, so yummy.  I also got 5 more pair of undetwear because I had gotten something for 13.00 and didn't like it so traded it on more underwear, I probably have about 30 pair or more,   you know you never want to run out of panties.  I will probably have new ones with tags when I pass on, maybe my DD will want them.  It is suppose to snow and have blowing about 30-50 MPH, OMG, my favorite kind of weather!!!!! Yea right!!!!!! Suppose to do it after midnight and thru lunch, maybe we will go to school late.  It was 80 here today, go figure, now here in West TX, we have some weird weather to say the least.

    Confidence in Him

    Today's Scripture

“My soul takes refuge and finds shelter and confidence in You…” (Psalm 57:1).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

Do you need more confidence for something specific in your life today? Confidence is strength in knowing that God has chosen you and equipped you for everything in life today. It doesn’t matter what you may be facing, you can find confidence in God. When you understand how much God loves you and that He desires to empower you, every obstacle will become smaller and smaller. Know this, for every challenge, God has a solution. He wants to turn your obstacle into opportunity. He wants to bring you out stronger than before. He wants to take you to higher places. Your soul can find refuge and shelter in Him. That means, you can rest, even in the midst of the storms of life. Take a step of faith today and begin to thank Him for working your life. Thank Him for the confidence that He has promised you. Remember, God is at work on your behalf. He will fill your heart with His peace, confidence, and power to move forward into the abundant life He has for you!

    A Prayer for Today

Father in Heaven, I come to You today with a humble heart. I give You my concerns and worries and ask You to fill me with Your peace and confidence today. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

    FUNNY OF THE WEEK:

The love story of Ralph and Edna:

Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

Ralph and Edna were both patients in a mental hospital. One day while they were walking past the hospital swimming pool. Ralph suddenly jumped into the deep end. He sank to the bottom of the pool and stayed there.

Edna promptly jumped in to save him. She swam to the bottom and pulled him out. When the Head Nurse Director became aware of Edna's heroic act she immediately ordered her to be discharged from the hospital, as she now considered her to be mentally stable.

When she went to tell Edna the news she said, "Edna, I have good news and bad news. The good news is you're being discharged, since you were able to rationally respond to a crisis by jumping in and saving the life of the person you love. I have concluded that your act displays sound mindedness. The bad news is, Ralph hung himself in the bathroom with his bathrobe belt right after you saved him. I am so sorry, but he's dead."

Edna replied, "He didn't hang himself, I put him there to dry. How soon can I go home?"

Three dead bodies turn up at the mortuary, all with very big smiles on their faces. The coroner calls the police to tell them what has happened. Coroner tells the Inspector: "First body: A Frenchman, 72, died of heart failure while with his mistress. Hence the enormous smile." "Second body: "Irishman, 25, won a thousand dollars on the lottery, spent it all on whisky. Died of alcohol poisoning, hence the smile." The Inspector asked, "What of the third body?" "Ah," says the coroner, "This is the most unusual one. Danny Earl, the Redneck from Mississippi , 30, struck by lightning." "Why is he smiling then?" inquires the Inspector. "Thought he was having his picture taken."

Well guess this is it for this week, can't beleive it is Monday again.  Everyone have a great and blessed week and walk in God's favor and claim it, it is ours free!!!! I am doing much better, the hurting in my back went away, thank God, He is so GOOD!!! Love ya'll
